Stewardship in Action – Protecting the Ponderosa Pines
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world;
indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” — Margaret Mead
This past week, our community gathered to help protect the beloved ponderosa pines on the RMERC land.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, we installed verbenone treatment pouches on 450 additional trees! Every pouch represents an act of care, not only for the trees, but for all the beings who depend on a healthy forest.
Working side by side was a reminder that stewardship is something we do together. Caring for the land is about more than the work itself; it’s about strengthening our relationship with place and with one another.
Thank you to everyone who offered their time, energy, and kindness. Your generosity is helping protect these forests for years to come.
Become a Member
Several volunteers asked about becoming RMERC members. We welcome you to explore member benefits and see if it is right for you.
