A Home for Meditation in Nature

Carol Kortsch

Carol was born in Africa, educated in Canada, and then worked internationally building community in different forms. After 25 years in psychotherapy and group practice at Stonehaven Commons in Radnor, PA., she now offers nature-based retreats in Colorado as a Courage & Renewal group facilitator, trained by Parker J. Palmer. She is now blending the Earth-based practices of Animas Valley Institute (Bill Plotkin) and other local organizations in a visionary program called ElderSoul.  As a life adventurer and Earth listener, she recognizes our essential and critical human need to stop, slow down, and listen to our lives and all our relations speak

ElderSoul Intensive – a Nature-Based Retreat
October 10 - 13, 2022

ElderSoul Intensive – a Nature-Based Retreat Are you on a life-long quest to grow into your true eldership? Come to this ElderSoul Intensive retreat on the beautiful land at Ecodharma, October 10-13, 2022. The word ‘Elder’ has held countless profound meanings for global cultures, religious traditions, and local communities throughout the ages. What is true elderhood? What are the gifts, challenges, and opportunities of this phase of life? What does it mean to make the passage into elderhood? What longings for this last season of life haunt me as I seek for something more? How am I in relationship with this Earth and how has my lifelong soulful journey been calling me? If you are asking these questions – join us for three nights and four days!  Your guides will be Carol Kortsch, a Courage & Renewal trained facilitator, and Gene Dilworth of Wild Heart Center for Nature & Psyche and a lead guide at Animas Valley Institute,  weaving together a collaborative circle. This is an original nature-based retreat drawing upon the work of Parker J Palmer and the Circle of Trust® approach with the work of Bill Plotkin and Animas Valley Institute. Nothing rugged or physically demanding will be expected…

SoulFire for Intergenerational Women - a Nature Based Retreat
October 14 - 16, 2022

What has this tumultuous season of change fired up in your soul? Bring your learnings, your longings, your grief, and your stories to a woman’s circle for all ages. We will fan that sacred fire that Mother Earth continues to birth from within us. This retreat is intentionally intergenerational – for all persons who identify as women and are being taught by Mother Nature about your true essence and identity as a relational way of belonging to Earth community. We will consider the developmental soul tasks of both youth, mature adulthood, and aging, listening to the visionary, imaginative young one inside us as she learns from the elder inside who longs to know her Earth place in community and offer her fiery gifts back into the world. Our time will be together in large group, small groups and much solitary wandering on this beautiful land in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Appropriate Covid safety measures as necessary for that time. Shared indoor housing and a few private rooms available. Healthy vegetarian meals provided. We together will co-create a trustworthy circle in which we can listen beyond human conversation to the dream of Earth, learn from our Ancestors who still…
